CASE STUDY
Elm Farm Barbers & Ladies Hair
Creating two distinct digital experiences for one trusted local destination.
Elm Farm needed two websites that could speak to different clients without losing the connection between them. We created a bold, walk-in-focused experience for the barbers and a polished, booking-led website for the ladies salon—each with its own personality, services and customer journey. The barbers promotes haircuts, fades, beard services, colours and perms, while the ladies salon offers cutting, colouring, blow-dries and occasion styling.

The Challenge
Elm Farm Barbers and Elm Farm Ladies Hair serve two distinct customer groups from one established local business. The websites needed to feel connected while giving each salon its own identity, tone and customer journey. Both sites also had to make essential information easy to find, including services, prices, opening hours, contact details and booking options. The challenge was to create two focused experiences without duplicating content or making either website feel secondary.
- Two different customer audiences
- Separate services and price lists
- Walk-in and booking-led journeys
- Distinct visual personalities
- Clear opening and contact details
Our Approach
We developed two complementary websites, each designed around how its customers choose and access services. The barbers site prioritises quick information and walk-in visits, while the ladies salon focuses on treatments, stylists and appointment booking. Shared design principles, navigation patterns and local messaging create a clear relationship between the brands. Distinct imagery, content and calls to action then give each website its own personality while keeping both experiences simple, professional and mobile friendly.
- Grouped courses into clear training pathways
- Standardised course-page layouts
- Simplified dates and booking journeys
- Highlighted entry requirements
- Created a delegate dashboard
THE SOLUTION
Two focused websites built around how each client prefers to visit.
We delivered separate WordPress websites that give Elm Farm Barbers and Elm Farm Ladies Hair their own identities while creating a consistent, professional digital presence across both salons.
Â
Two-Website Strategy
Separate domains and content journeys allow each salon to communicate directly with its own audience without overcrowding a single website.
Distinctive Design
Elm Farm Barbers uses a strong, contemporary style suited to its relaxed grooming experience, while Elm Farm Ladies Hair uses a brighter, more polished design focused on personalised care and creativity.
Barbershop Services
A dedicated service page clearly presents haircuts, skin fades, colours, perms and beard grooming, supported by quick access to the price list.
Ladies Hair Services
Cutting, colouring, blow-dries and styling are organised into clear categories, making it easier for clients to understand the available treatments.
Online Booking
The ladies salon website connects directly to its Phorest booking system, allowing clients to move from researching the salon to arranging an appointment.
Walk-In Journey
The barbers website prioritises services, opening hours, telephone details and directions for clients planning to visit without a formal booking journey.
Meet the Team
Stylist profiles introduce the personalities and experience behind Elm Farm Ladies Hair, helping prospective clients feel more comfortable before their appointment.
Social Integration
Dedicated social pages showcase recent styles, transformations and behind-the-scenes content from each salon.

CLIENT FEEDBACK
"We used Chris to work across two websites to rebrand and update our web pages for the companies and he didn’t disappoint. The results are great and his help & advise along the way was much appreciated as I’m not great with technology he really took control of organising everything from start to finish."
